CAA2017: Digital Archaeologies, Material Worlds (Past and Present) @ Georgia State University
Mar 14 @ 8:00 am – Mar 16 @ 6:00 pm

The 45th CAA conference will bring together scholars from across the globe to share their cutting edge research from a diverse range of fields in a focused, but informal, setting.  One thing that the CAA prides itself on is a strong sense of community, and we hope to continue to grow that community by welcoming new participants this year.  This is only the 3rd time the conference has been held in the United States, and we are excited to have old and new members join us in Atlanta this coming spring.

Digital Humanities + Design Symposium @ Georgia Tech

About

The DH + Design symposium, to be held at Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, on May 4th and 5th, 2017, will bring together leading scholars from the digital humanities and design to explore these increasingly convergent fields, and to identify additional possibilities for their intersection. We will facilitate a series of multi-format conversations around topics of shared concern, including the role of practice (and other applied forms of research) in each field; the similarities and differences between each field’s design processes; theories of speculation as they have been developed through the humanities and design; and how these two fields, together, might rally to address pressing matters of social and political concern.
